Support our global real estate organization and assist in reviewing and
documenting accounting policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with and reach out to senior leadership across the
globe (CAO, Controllers, technical accounting and other financial leaders
throughout the organization), in order to identify and develop key policy areas
and map out future accounting policies.
Manage the development of policy programs and oversee the
production of policy positions.
Review, understand & document accounting policies
related to CBRE's priorities.
Conduct high quality qualitative and quantitative research
for policy reports.
Research current external events to identify key changes,
and make sure organizational policies are up to date.
Recognize, assess and communicate important policy issues
to CBRE's leadership.
Other duties may be assigned.
May provide formal supervision to individual employees within single functional
or operational area.
Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff
recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and
Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next
level management for review and approval.
Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and
utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance
appraisal for staff.
Mentors and coaches team members to further develop

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Accounting,
Finance or Business Administration.
Requires a minimum 6 to 8
years of relevant experience, some audit experience preferred and work with
global companies with international operations.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
CPA a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, creative,
organized, and deeply committed to personal and organizational excellence.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to
customers. Ability to effectively present information. Must have ability to
convey complex financial issues to non-financial users.
Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and
Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations. Requires knowledge of
financial terms and principles. Follows accounting practices to ensure optimum
client satisfaction while guaranteeing CBRE financial interests are protected.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and
transactions and accounting principles.
Strong analytical and problem
